Yeah, I know, it's fashion. Still, I could totally wear a SACK by cutting out the bottom and some little slit for my eye! Look at me, teacher! I'm so creative! NOT!

Lara Torres, just WHAT were you thinking?!?!?!

I got a 78 on my last math test! Average, for most, awesome for me! I keep doing better with my test scores. I've got one exam left, the final exam, and I DO NOT plan on letting this one come crashing down. Up until not too long ago, I've had a hard time just being and I would like to especially thank the few, awesome people who have seen me at my worst and have forecefully infused me with good energy. Good energy is key in anything you do. That's the ticket.

And this picture is from last night! I look like Holly Golightly at her best and my partner likes it!

Okay, so I have this interview tomorrow at this Ramen place in the city and at first I was not really too nervous about it since my life doesn't depend on this job or anything, but right now I'm kinda feeling the nerves kick in and my anxiety looming over me because more then ever, I do NOT want to be rejected.

I have this sick need to be accepted and wanted and I know that this job is not even that big of a deal... I mean I'll either be a hostess or a waitress, not exactly fancy shmancy, yet I'm still feeling so obsessive and anxious about it! It's probably because I've been rejected a lot from past interviews and other jobs in the past...

So anyway, due to my obsessive nature, I started looking up interview tips and started going crazy nitpicking and imagining all kinds of scenarios that could ensue at tomorrow's interviews. I'm literally trying to memorize what I'm going to say tomorrow and ahhh... it's just really frustrating me! SAD always makes me stiffen up, and it makes me HORRIBLE with first impressions...it's not that I'm not bubbly, in fact I'm quite friendly if I force myself to be, but my biggest problem is thinking on my feet. When I'm caught off guard by a question I completely stiffen up and become a blabbering idiot. I either start to ramble about something completely moronic or open and close my mouth like a fish. -____-

Ackk... I just can't wait until it's over already...

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had horrible interviewing stories or successful interview stories. Or if anyone could give some advice on how to get through an interview with SAD. o__O

*takes deep breath and crosses fingers* I hope with all my heart that all goes well tomorrow!! =O

(btw, if you haven't noticed yet, I'm kind of neurotic LOL)

All 9 pads are unused, they have been washed, but I've never even tried them on. I purchased them 2 or so years ago from a variety of different sellers. The first 8 pictured close with snaps, the last 1 pictured closes with velcro. I am selling the entire lot for $30 shipped, that comes out to just under $3.34 per pad. If you want the lot just post and I'll let you know my paypal address. Thanks!

So, I actually used my Lady Cup for the very first time today. It's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning, I hadn't started bleeding yet, but I figured that I would later today and decided to try my cup. At first, I tried to put it in standing up and failed miserably. So, I put it in sitting down, and had a little trouble, but finally got it in. It was a little uncomfortable because of the stem, but, I decided to leave it and just see if it was something I could get used to.

So, this evening (I wore it all day :)), I was in the shower, and I decided to just try to remove/reinsert it in there. I took it out, and when I checked, there was blood in the bottom of the cup! I was SO excited because normally, even using tampons, I would leak ALL the time. So, I washed it, trimmed the stem a little, and decided to try to reinsert it standing up again.

It practically placed itself! While I was standing!!! And I barely even knew it was there. I can actually bend over and sit down without worrying!

In any case, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody who helped me figure this out. :)

And, if anyone is thinking about getting a cup and hasn't yet, it's awesome!

Yes, I am a dork.  I just today finished sewing up the Halloween pads I cut out in August, and two other new prints.  (And, we wonder why I'm closing my "official" store!)

Anyhow, they are available here

I have matching napkins (as in for dining with) available too.  :)

And, my site will charge $5 shipping, I'll refund the extra.

Today I made some lentil stew with beans and peas, and it is good.  The last time I made this, which is my staple Indian Dahl, it was much more like wonderful burrito beans.  This time, it still has everything I need, (pepper, chili, mushrooms, carrots, onion), but it is more like a delicate (but spicy) gazpachio with subtle flavours swimming up at you like dancing porpoises.  And I think one reason for this is that I didn't use tomato paste this time, but canned whole and diced tomatoes, with some tomato sauce.  Also more dandelion.  I also tended towards more orange and licorice highlights.  Highlights is a stupid word.  So snooty.  Like it belongs in Prairie Home Companion - which, btw, was GREAT the last two times, in Bismark and Des Moines.  Speaking of the latter, see below.  Anyway, what was I talking about?  Oh, yes - having sex with porpoises - no wait...  Lentils...  There happened to be a radio show about lentils (and additional legumes) on NPR, (The Splendid Table), just after I made MY lentils.  I don't know about you, but I feel that legumes are getting far too much attention these days, and that tubers are getting squeezed out!   And green.... pepper...  was... a prominant flavour in my last Dahli batch, which I still want to add to THIS Dahli batch...  THIS one would accommodate that, plus light flavours of pineapple and green beans.  I often tend towards Moroccan when I cook...  Indian, Mexican, etc., which is why I am interested in learning about Brazilian cooking.  I think I'd like it.

I also love the four following things in combo, heavy on the everything: Onion, salt, noodles and oil.  You can go from Chinese to Ethiopian to Italian to whatever with this foundation.  But the oil has to be good.  Today I made ramen like this, with cumin, nutmeg, chili, dandelion, mushrooms, celery salt...  It was something a snail in the back yard would die for.  And it was so good, and somewhat nutty, it reminded me of something a friend made for me that included tofu, which took on a wonderful nutty taste from its oily veggie surroundings, and now I want to start doing that.  The only problem is that I never cook with tofu, I eat it all before I cook it.  mmmm... salty tofu without salmonella...

Speaking of mushrooms, I have found that they taste better if you let them sit for days and get all slippery.  Really.  They're kinda like tuna-fish that way.  (boing!)  And the white or the portabella mushrooms?  I say fuck it.  Get the cheaper big "steak" mushrooms - you don't need to slice them just break up the pre-slices with you fingers.  And a fast, easy way to cut carrots?  Bite them into slices and blow them into your pot - ha ha!  But only if you cook for yourself.

Played with big-mouthed dog today.

Speaking of Des Moines...  For some reason, my computer IP doesn't trace back to where I actually live, it traces back to Des Moines.  Then I realised that the fake city I had my LIVE JOURNAL in was ALSO Des Moines.  (I set it that way a few years ago).  So - maybe I was right about the government scanning my computer when I first got online with my new configuration.  I knew there was possibly a screen-reader going on, leaving a .gov cookie. So, maybe they read my LJ while I was posting yo.  I just think that is verrry interesting.  Anyway, now I put my LJ in SPOKANE, so good luck Uncle Samsung.  Suddenly, after realising this Des Moines surreality, I listen to A Prairie Home Companion - recorded in Des Moines!

Did you know that the Whooping Crane train has stopped here in this county, because the weather is so warm and windy, they don't want to fly south?!

I have to get myself together and accomplish much tomorrow.  I'll make a cool $150 just by opening an additional checking account.  Other stuff, more major shopping, etc.  Have also to clean a lot soon if I'm still as un-ill as I am now.  So I'll be away from the computer for a while, thank god.

You're Welcome, little guy in Des Moines.

I have irrevocably and devastatingly fallen in love with the pairing of Red x Green from 1st/2nd/4th gen. And I'm talking about the two boys. Red is of course our protagonist and Green is his cheeky stuck-up rival as we all know.

But, if the pairing of Red and Green might somehow ruin your childhood memories, then I suggest you refrain from clicking the lj-cut. But otherwise, please feel free to fangirl/boy with me, and I has fanart! That's always a good bribe right? :D

Shipping is SRSBSNS because I can, oh also contains some spoilers for HGSS )

After a sleepless and painful night, I found an urgent care center reasonably close by and went in for some help. I got exactly what I'd hoped for -- codeine cough syrup and a Z-pak. Whether or not I had the flu, I think the sinus infection that hopped on the bandwagon afterward is probably bacterial. I always get them when I get anything else and they're always awful but I usually just bull through it. This time, though, with the horrible sore throat and the cough and the not sleeping... I gave up.

At least now I know that you go to urgent care for stuff like this, when you can't get an appointment for whatever reason. I know this is the sort of thing you're supposed to understand, but I guess I always thought "urgent" was a synonym for "emergency," and of course I don't want to go into a free/low-cost clinic and take up their time when I have insurance.

I bought myself a little bag of wafer cookies because I've been such a good patient (ha). Now I really feel like I've been sick -- my parents usually didn't have junk food in the house, but illness meant you could have whatever you wanted. I wish Planter's still made their crunchy cheese balls in the round container, which were far superior to anything put out by the chip companies -- that was one of my prime sick foods.

Codeine is kicking in, and I was already tired. Think I'll go let the Lions lull me to sleep.

So, I've been considering it since September and now I don't think I can take it anymore. I want to break down and import SS from Japan (I'll be buying HeartGold here in America next year, yay!). However, I had a few questions.

One, what website do you guys use to buy your imports?

Two, do I need to use any other method of payment, or does my Visa card work (I'm assuming that it does)?

Three, about how long does it take to ship?

Obviously I don't order things from Japan very much. -_- Oh, and anything else you guys want to throw in about importing would be lovely, too. Thank you!

So, I didn't go to church today.  It's just so far away and it's so cold outside.  I'm not all that thrilled about church. It's so nice to stay inside and be cozy on Sundays. Sundays are my worst days for anxiety.

I'm hearing mixed accounts on what happens when you don't shine your badges in DPPt ranging from them breaking and consequently having to rechallenge gym leaders to not being allowed entry into the Elite Four until you shine them to the shining of badges to being something you don't really have to worry about.

So, is there a point to shining badges other than aesthetic purposes? (and aside from you know, playing simple melodies on them.)

I have a few questions.

1. I was trying to trade via the GTS in Platinum and I've come across a few pokemon where I meet the requirements but I'm unable to select the proper pokemon from my box to trade. For example, I was trying to trade for a Krabby. Only requirement was a male Larvitar. I have that, but I can't select it. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know what the problem is?

2. Are there any special tricks to encountering the legendary dog in Fire Red and Leaf Green? I have both versions and have gotten to the point where a legendary dog should be roaming. Is it just random encounter or is there a way to track it like in DPPt?
